While toying with this piece of software, I could not help thinking about Giger, H.R. Giger, the artist behind the fascinating aesthetics of Alien.

Mandelbulber allows you to generate and render fractal shapes in 3D, and in this sort of stage the flat 2D Mandelbrot becomes a big fat greasy Mandelbulb.
